I have been here since September, and I wonder what is going on in all these empty, dark houses that make up the town of Gilroy? Is everybody just staying home watching cable, playing Xbox, and drinking?
What do you do when you're here?
What do you do when you're here?

Evidently, what you do when you're here is avoid the internet at all costs. You have now sent a "flare" to thousands of internet users, and not a one of them has anything to say about Gilroy. Let's face it, Monkeyboy, we're in this alone. -

Communicating with the natives
Thu, January 29, 2004 - 8:03 PMIt's very possible that the residents of Gilroy have discovered something much better than using the internet. I wonder if the mythical tiny city of Brigadoon is located somewhere nearby, and the locals sneak off into the garlic fields to sing, dance, and make merry with the wee people of the garlic forest on Friday nights.
BEcause they sure as hell aren't in the bars, and they sure as hell aren't coming to my website. ANd I sure as hell haven't found anything better to do in Gilroy than to go to the bars and come to this website!!! -

Re: Communicating with the natives
Tue, February 3, 2004 - 11:42 AMOk I know Gilroy! And My man ted might have a monkey on his picture but he is no way Monkey boy! The real deal is if you build it they won't come. You have to go to them. Gilroy has many people online. The real question is if and when you find them. Do you want to chat with them???????? -

I want to figure out who all these people are, crowding me out of the aisles at Wal Mart and yelling at their kids in public with mouths full of quarter pounders with cheese. I think it would be nice to chat with my fellow Gilroians and see who they are and what they're doing here by choice?

I'm sorry, you are mistaken. He is, in fact a Monkeyboy. (Ok, I'll give him Monkeyman for good measure...) -

SO what is the allure for you? Is it the beguiling aroma? The glitzy nightlife? The sense of culture? The hope of a new "Super Wal MArt" in town? What makes you stay? -
